About Josh
FORA is led by designer Josh Rumble, who brings over a decade of architectural experience across Wānaka, Christchurch and wider New Zealand. Over the years, Josh has worked on a broad range of residential projects — from small interior alterations to highly detailed, architecturally driven homes — giving him a strong understanding of the full design and construction process.
His work is shaped by a focus on proportion, clarity and connection to place. He values practical, buildable solutions supported by strong technical knowledge, and enjoys guiding clients through each stage with clear communication and a collaborative mindset. Josh believes good architecture comes from aligning the client, the site and the builder — creating a cohesive team that supports the best outcome.
A background of travel and time outdoors influences his approach, reinforcing an appreciation for landscape, materiality and the atmosphere of a space. Josh works between Christchurch and Wānaka, balancing studio work with biking, golf and surfing.
